  • Maximum size of any canstruction® is 10' long x 10' wide x 8' high. All teams must supply a sketch and dimensions.
  • Maximum size of the official team that actually builds the canstruction® is five (5) people. Only five (5) people will be allowed in the site at any one time.
  • Aluminum food cans of all sizes may be used.
  • Cans must be full, unopened, and with labels intact and legible. Labels MAY NOT be covered for the display. Remember, the Food Bank cannot take cans without labels or if the labels or cans have been damaged.
  • Props are allowed, some boxed foods, etc. Props SHOULD NOT be a dominating feature of the entry.
  • No glass containers.
  • No pet food.
  • No alcoholic beverages.
  • No opened or exposed food (attracts vermin).
  • Your canstruction® must be structurally self-supporting.
  • Velcro, clear and double faced tape may be used as adhesives (be aware of the labels!). High tension rubber bands and nylon string are permissible. No permanent adhesives may be use on the cans. Foam core, cardboard and similar leveling (but not supporting) materials are permitted.
  • Design teams are encouraged to visit the host site well in advance of the build-out date.
