2012 Totals

27 firms and 7 schools came together to form 29 teams. Together they collected a staggering

101,146 cans

105,415 lbs

of food and food goods for the Houston Food Bank. This allows the foodbank to provide 87,846 nutritious meals for hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties.

Canstruction, Inc. is a non-profit organization that holds annual design and build competitions to benefit local food banks. Founded in 1992, the competitions are responsible for collecting over 20 million pounds of food for the communities where Canstruction operates. Canstruction Houston is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) federally-recognized charity, benefiting the Houston Food Bank.
